Do you see clients in person?
Rooted Mental Health is a telehealth-only practice. Our therapists use Zoom, a secure platform, to conduct sessions and ensure privacy and confidentiality.
Do you prescribe medication?
No. However, our clinicians will work with you to assess your needs. If you would benefit from medication, your therapist will refer you to the appropriate professional and help facilitate that process.
Do you see minors?
At this time, our therapists only see clients 18 and older.
Do you see people from all over?
Rooted sees clients based in New York State.
Do you take my insurance?
We accept a variety of insurance carriers, including most plans with Northwell, United Healthcare, Oxford, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Cigna. We verify your coverage before our first session so that we can ensure there are no surprise fees for you!
What mental health conditions do you treat?
Our clinicians are trained in a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, and more. Joni, our director, will communicate with you to ensure your specific needs are met.
What kind of therapy do you offer?
Our therapists provide talk therapy and are trained in a wide range of trauma-informed therapeutic modalities, including, person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and more. Your therapist will work with you to assess what the best approach for your individual journey would be.
